When renting a car through GoMore, you may want to add extra drivers to your rental agreement for added flexibility and shared driving responsibilities. Here is a concise guide on how to include additional drivers and the conditions that apply.
You can add extra drivers either when booking the car or any time before the rental starts:
During booking: Opt to add extra drivers when you first book the car on GoMore.
After Booking: If you did not add an extra driver at the time of booking, you can still do so by editing the rental details in your profile before the rental begins. This can be done under the booking details page in our app or website before the start of a rental. It is not possible to edit a rental once it has begun.
Meet insurance conditions: Like the main renter, all additional drivers must meet GoMore's insurance conditions. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that all extra drivers comply with these requirements.
Documentation: Extra drivers need to provide valid documentation that they meet the necessary conditions for insurance coverage.
Primary renter's liability: As the primary renter, you retain full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period. This includes ensuring that any extra drivers are covered by the insurance and are responsible for the deductible, regardless of who is driving at the time of an incident.
Vehicle pickup: Extra drivers are not allowed to pick up the vehicle. This applies to both Keyless and non-Keyless rentals.
Shared driving: Allows for longer trips without fatigue by sharing driving duties.
Flexibility and preparedness: More drivers mean more flexibility for unexpected changes in plans and ensures continuity if the primary renter cannot drive.
Adding extra drivers involves additional charges, reflecting the increased insurance risk. The exact fees and terms are specified during the booking or rental edit process.
For business-owned vehicles, the ability to add an extra driver to the rental depends on the insurance coverage provided by the vehicle’s owner. This information will be clearly stated when booking the car. If the business car owner does not include extra driver insurance, it will not be possible to add an additional driver at the time of booking. In such cases, only you, as the primary renter, are authorized to drive the vehicle during the rental period. For privately owned vehicles, it will always be possible to buy extra driver insurance.
